2016 Memorial Ride Trifold

August 20, 1980 to May 27, 2011

Trish Hankins was a special education teacher in the Peoria School District. She absolutely loved children, especially when talking to them about Jesus Christ. She was very active in children’s programs through her church and her favorite ministry was being a counselor at summer youth camps. She was very effective at introducing children to the love of Christ and ultimately guiding them to accepting Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. In keeping with Trish’s passion for children, this memorial fundraising ride was created and through her memory and legacy, children will continue to have the opportunity to learn about Jesus Christ; the abundance of love, grace, and mercy that he pours out on us; and the gift of eternal life.

The fundraising efforts of the 3rd Annual Trish Hankins Memorial Ride (2015) sent 6 kids to camp!

20152015 kids camp

The Vision: Each year for various reasons there are families that cannot afford to send their kids to camp in the summer. All money raised from this ride will be used to help provide financial resources to those families. We feel that a family’s current financial situation should not be an obstacle in preventing a child from attending summer youth camp to learn about Jesus. Our vision through this ride is to be able to provide camp scholarships to all children that want to attend camp and need the help of some financial assistance. No child should be left behind.
