Nehemiah: Time to Build

We started 2015 with a sermon series in the Book of Nehemiah.  Nehemiah knew that for the city walls of Jerusalem to be rebuilt it would be the power of the Lord to complete the job.  Nehemiah had obstacles to encounter and go through with God’s help.  A king usually doesn’t allow prisoners to leave the exile city of the prisoner’s capture.  If allowed to leave by the king, now a long time to journey through desserts and wooded areas full of bandits and thieves to the original homeland.   Once arrived, if you do, now what about people that don’t desire for the mission to be rebuilt?  Nehemiah had to wonder how this could be accomplished.  He most likely breathed the same prayer as Ezekiel breathed about the dry, dead bones, “…only you know Lord.”

We are starting our Vision Campaign.  Only you know Lord.  You, personally, are a big part of this effort at TCAA.  We need you.  You need us.  It’s called The Church and particularly The Church at Arrowhead.  Our new vision is…

Connecting Lost People into a Mature Walk with Jesus.

Just like Nehemiah it is going to take PRAYER to focus the statement into our minds.  Nehemiah prayed, and thus, we should pray.  Pray individually.  Pray corporately.  Pray consistently.  We need to personally pray how we can each complete this mission as a church.

Let’s research the Book of Nehemiah once again.  Let’s remember it was prayer that centered and directed Nehemiah.  It will be prayer that centers and directs TCAA.  Yes, we have a project – the main worship center.   The Lord’s projects are brought about to complete his mission.  TCAA will only know this power and plan through prayer.  The main worship center renovation is only for completing our mission – Connecting Lost People into a Mature Walk with Jesus.  Let’s get up!  We can go together in this mission.  No matter what, as a family in faith, we will personally engage a lost world with the friendly grace that abounds in the Lord Jesus Christ.  It’s Time to Build: families — youth ministry — small groups — worship center.
