Framing Your Vision
What’s your vision? Contractors, engineers, home builders, toy model builders, pilots, etc. have all used this question. For homebuilders, the importance of this question relies on how the foundation of the house is constructed and the blue prints of a larger vision. For an engineer, the questions about the end result cannot start being asked to soon. Even a county club must have an original vision of why it exists or it will turn into whatever people desire it to be. Of course, a pilot envisions the runway of his designation. We must know what the end of the creation should look like. Don’t ask questions at the end. This is vision.
The same is true in church work. The Church has an original vision. It came from the owner, the Lord Jesus Christ. In the Book of Revelation, John writes his vision of the risen Christ – a sword came from His mouth, His face shining like the midday sun, the churches in His right hand – John said he fell at His feet as a dead man (Rev. 1-16-17). It would pay great dividends for all of us to “get into His vision.” Simply said, “let Jesus frame your vision.” The last part of Revelation Chapter One says that Jesus Christ is the first and last, was dead but now alive forever and ever, and He even holds the keys to dead and hell. He is the master framer of the church, and also the master painter to paint a beautiful picture of His plan for The Church of Arrowhead inside the frame he created.
It’s exciting times at TCAA! New vision, new building, new ministry—what’s your vision? In our January preaching series, we will be exploring various biblical characters who had visions from the Lord of how things should look. How should TCAA look? From Ezekiel to Paul, we’ll engage in the Word of God to see timeless truths from their vision to form the frame of our vision. The Lord always paints beautiful canvases when the frame is built by Him.
