While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Luke 24:4-6a
CELEBRATE EASTER WITH A GIFT TO MISSIONS!
Americans spend $2.1 billion on Easter candy and $14.6 billion on clothes, food, flowers, gifts, greeting cards and decorations!
Jesus gave His life so we might be forgiven! Easter gives us the opportunity to celebrate His resurrection with a special gift to remember Him that will make a difference in the lives and eternity of others.
$2,200: Give to support Pastor John and his ministry in Pakistan (we will not give the location for security purposes). His church is located 2 blocks from the two churches that were bombed last week (14 Christians were killed). Pastor John’s church took in 29 orphans to protect, feed and shelter. They also minister to children who work in the brick kilns. These children are indentured servants (slaves) and work for pennies and are brutalized. Pastor John leads a team who feeds them, provides clothing and teaches a weekly Sunday School so these children can hear about the Risen Lord Jesus.
$2,200: Give to support Vacation Bible School training of 500 leaders in 150 churches in Sonora, Guerrero and Sinaola. TCAA will partner with Iglesia Bautista Central, The Hispanic Church at FSBC of Phoenix and Operation Mexico Missions.
Pastor Heriberto Osobampo estimated 160 church teams were trained last year. 16,000 children from 5,500 families heard the Good News!
You can give a “celebration” gift in Jesus’ name to help the orphans in Pakistan and reach 16,000 or more children in Mexico with the Good News. Please use the special offerings envelopes in the Connection or go online to tcaa.com to give (please note your gift is for the Easter offering).
On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ ” Then they remembered his words.
